There has been a lot of talk about Google offering radio spot promotion through the AdWords interface. What is next? First they conquer advertising via the internet, now they look to radio, will they go to T.V. next?
The other day I posted a story on Spotrunner.com which offers similar services as dMarc but via T.V.. I wouldn’t put it past Google to eventually purchase Spotrunner.com and attempt to take over advertising via T.V.???
In short time, I will be able to manage my client’s ppc, radio, and T.V. advertising.
A post last month on the adwords blog back in December of last year gave an update. Back in January of 2006 Google announced the purchase of dMarc Broadcasting, Inc.
“Under the terms of the merger agreement, Google will acquire all of the outstanding equity interests in dMarc, a privately held company, for total up-front consideration of $102 million in cash. In addition, Google will be obligated to make additional contingent cash payments from time to time if certain product integration, net revenue and advertising inventory targets are met over the next three years. The maximum amount of potential contingent payments is $1.136 billion over the next three years.”
